Section

Section is James Barclay, a DJ/Producer from Worthing (UK). Section’s first gig was in 1997 at The
Factory in Worthing and has since been fortunate to play across the UK, New York City, Miami and
Portugal.
Section started producing in 2006 and began releasing tracks in 2011 and has had several releases
across the scene’s biggest labels including; Function Records, DSCI4, 117, Rebel Music, Dread
Recordings, Skeleton Recordings, Counterpoint Recordings, Serial Killaz, Sub-Liminal Recordings,
Audio Addict and Deep In The Jungle. In 2017 he started his own label, Locked Up Music, which has
gained support from all corners of the scene.
Section’s debut LP “The Fourth Hour” came out on Portuguese label Counterpoint Recordings in July
2022. The LP demonstrates Section’s versatility and some of its successes include; reaching number
7 in the Beatport D&B charts and having “Colours In The Sky” featured on BBC Introducing.
